To provide an industrial method for producing 5,5,5-trifluoro-3-penten-1-ynes useful as a synthetic intermediate for functional materials such as medicines, agrochemicals or fluorine-containing polymers and to provide the several kinds of 5,5,5-trifluoro-3-penten-1-ynes which are new compounds.

1-Chloro-2-trifluromethyl-ethylenes are reacted with various terminal acetylenes in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a basic substance. Organic amines such as piperidine or diethylamine are especially preferable as the base to be used.
