Abstract:
To provide a controller for an AC rotating electric machine, which enables the AC rotating electric machine to more reliably continue its operation when a failure of a magnetic-pole position sensor occurs.SOLUTION: When it is determined that a failure of a magnetic-pole position sensor 3 has occurred and sensorless vector control is performed, a target value Mo of a modulation ratio is set to be smaller than when the magnetic-pole sensor 3 is determined as being normal. A d-axis current command value Ido and a q-axis current command value Iqo are calculated based on the target value Mo of the modulation ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
