PURPOSE: To provide an abnormal energy protective device suitable for protecting an objective device against abnormal voltage.

CONSTITUTION: Means 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 for bypassing abnormal electric energy having voltage lower than the withstanding voltage, protective elements 23, 24, 25,26, 27, 28 composed of such as varistors, are connected between arbitrary conductor lines, e.g. power transmitting/receiving conductor lines, signal transmitting/receiving conductor lines, or radio wave transmitting/receiving lines, of electric or electronic appliances. Furthermore, elements 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 for interrupting the conductor line upon occurrence of abnormal electric energy therein are also provided.
