PURPOSE: To accumulate a lot of works at fixed intervals by a single conveyor by transporting the work on the single conveyor in engagement with a hook of a mover and displacing the hook downward by detection means to release the above engagement.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of works W1WW4 placed on a single conveyor 1 are transported in engagement with hooks 4 disposed at intervals on a linear mover 3. A movable plate 10 is displaced downward by detection means 8 for detecting the passing of the work, so that after passing the displaced movable plate 10, the hook 4 comes off the rails 6, and the forward end of the hook is lowered below the upper surface of a free roller conveyer 1, which results in that the engagement of the hook with the work is released to accumulate the works. Thus, a lot of works can be accumulated at fixed intervals by a single conveyor.
