Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pressure pulsation in the fuel passage of an accumulative fuel injector at its pilot injection.
SOLUTION: Fuel flowing out of a common rail which stores high-pressure fuel through an inlet passage 42 at the end of a fuel distribution passage into an injector 52 branches at a branch 1B into a flow through a fuel passage 43 on the side of an oil sump chamber and a flow through a fuel passage 44 on the side of a control chamber. At least either of the passages 43 and 44 on the downstream side of the branch is provided with an orifice 53 or 54 as a flow control means.
