To provide an active damper that suppresses variations of a loop gain with respect to a change in pressure of an accumulator and can achieve improvement of controllability while suppressing vibration transmission from a side under a spring, support pedestal, to a side on the spring, vibration damping object, for a response of a high frequency region cannot be tracked by a rotation control of a pump motor without increasing surplus control and a wasteful loss in comparison with prior art.
An active damper comprises: a hydraulic cylinder set between a vibration damping object and a support pedestal; a hydraulic pump for discharging hydraulic oil to the hydraulic cylinder; a pump motor for driving the hydraulic pump; an accumulator connected to a hydraulic oil flow passage connecting the hydraulic cylinder and the hydraulic pump; and a control device that multiplies a deviation between a thrust command value and a thrust detection value of the hydraulic cylinder by a control gain and calculates a rotational speed command value of the pump motor. The higher a pressure of the accumulator is, the smaller the control device sets a value of the control gain.
