PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition providing a film which is readily curable and excellent in flexibility, steam permeability and treating strength, by blending a specified N-methoxymethylated nylon, a (meth)acrylate monomer and/or an oligomer thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Nylon (e.g. Nylon 6) and formaldehyde are heated in an aqueous medium of a pH 7W8 at 70°C until the solution becomes transparent. Methanol and oxalic acid as a catalyst are added thereto, and the mixture is heated for 1W2hr to give N-methoxymethylated nylon (A) which has a mean molecular weight of 3,000W50,000 and in which at least 18% of hydrogen atoms bonded at a nitrogen atom in the molecule are substituted with methoxymethyl groups. 100pts.wt. ingredient (A) is blended with 200W700pts.wt., preferably 300W600pts. wt. (meth)acylate monomer (B) which is compatible with the ingredient (A) and has a hydrophilic functional group selected from among hydroxyl, carbonyl and amino groups and/or oligomer thereof and, if necessary, 10W60pts.wt. photosensitizer (C).
