Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter, which is manufactured at low costs with small dispersion of mechanical strength among finished products, for an optical connector plug.
SOLUTION: A pair of left engaging arms 32 are fixed on the left surface of a fixing plate 31, while between the pair of left engaging arms 32, a sleeve 33 provided with a split sleeve is passed through and fixed the fixing board 31. On the right surface of the fixing plate 31, a pair of right engaging arms 34 are fixed, while between the pair of right engaging arms 34, a plug engaging sleeve part, in which the sleeve 33 is passed through and protruded from the left side to the right side so as to be fixed, is arranged. A housing 10 formed by molding synthetic resin is constructed of one housing, to which one optical connector plug is inserted and fitted via a fitting groove 21, and the other housing, to which the other optical connector plug is inserted and fitted via a fitting groove 21. The housing 10 is provided with a lock by which the fixing plate 31 in the plug engaging sleeve part is fixed in the inside.
