To obtain an adhesive composition hardly providing adhesive strain when used for a metallic panel, obtained by using a sheet metal having a mirror finished surface polished up for a design by regulating a hardening shrinkage and a storage elastic modulus of the hardened body so as to be within a specific range.

This adhesive composition is obtained by regulating a hardening shrinkage X (%) of the composition and a storage elastic modulus Y (kgf/mm2) of the hardened body of the composition so as to satisfy the formula Y≤88X-0.6, preferably Y≤4.5X-1.0. The X is preferably 0.01-12, more preferably 0.01-8. The lower limit of the Y is preferably 0.1 kgf/mm2, more preferably 0.5 kgf/mm2. The fastening time of the composition is preferably ≥12 min, preferably 12-1440 min, more preferably 12-720 min. The composition is preferably a normal temperature hardenable adhesive composition. The normal temperature hardenable adhesive composition is preferably an acrylic one.
