PURPOSE: To provide an adhesive compsn. for shoemaking, which has excellent initial bond strength and good resistance to yellowing, by blending a rubber blend or a hydroxyl group-terminated urethane prepolymer with a specified urthane prepolymer.
CONSTITUTION: Hexamethylene diisocyanate or isophorone diisocyanate (a), a urethane linkage type polyisocyanate (b) contg. at least two isocyanate groups at its terminal obtd. by reacting component (a) with a polyhydric alcohol, at least one polyisocyanate (c) contg. at least three isocyanate groups obtd. by the biuret linkage or the urethane linkage of component (a), and a hydroxyl group-terminated polyester (d) having a weight-average MW of 500W3,000, are reacted together under conditions satisfying the formula to form a urethane prepolymer contg. isocyanate groups at its terminal and a viscosity of at least 100P at 25°C. A rubber blend or a hydroxy group-terminated urethane polymer (paste base) is blended with the above prepolymer in a wt. ratio of 50/50W99/1.
