PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive for metal excellent in persistence of adhesion to a metal surface stained by an org. oily matter by compounding a terminal- blocked polyorganosiloxane, an organosilicon compd. a silicon-functional isocyanurate, and an org. solvent.

CONSTITUTION: The adhesive comprises 100 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane having molecular terminals blocked by silanol or alkoxy groups, 0.1-20 pts.wt. organosilicon compd. having on average at least two hydrolyzable groups directly bonded to silicon atoms in the molecule, 0.1-10 pts.wt. silicon-functional isocyanurate of the formula having at least three -OR2 groups, and 0.5-50 pts.wt. org. solvent. In those formulae, R1 is H, etc.; R2 is 1-6C alkyl or alkoxy; n is 1-5; and a is 1-5.
