Abstract:

To provide a medicament containing a compound having strong activity for promoting production of adiponectin as an active ingredient.

The medicament contains a compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein, R1 and R2 are each a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group; X is a 1-6C alkylene or the like; Y is an amide group, an ester group or the like; Z is a 1-20C alkylene or the like; and Q is a hydrogen atom, an aromatic hydrocarbon group or the like] as the active ingredient.
