Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustable type artificial joint which enables accurately adjusting of the angle position of a semispherical crown part with respect to a tail part.
SOLUTION: This adjustable type artificial joint has a tail part 1 fixable in an upper arm bone tube and a roughly semispherical crown part 3 interlocking a bone cavity of a shoulder. The upper arm bone tube tail part 1 has a bottom part thereof with a spherical 16a hollow 16 in an end part 11 of a bone trunk and boll bodies 2, 2' and 4 are placed into the hollow 16. The ball body 2 receives the semi-spherical crown part 3 and a clamp means 19 fixes them at an angle displaced position determined with respect to the shaft of the upper arm bone tail part 1.
