PURPOSE: To take a copy so that margins of the top and reverse are uniformed in one direction by varying the start period of original feeding to an original platen by a specific quantity so as to uniform positions of images formed on the top and reverse in one direction.
CONSTITUTION: When an original whose both surfaces are to be copied is fed at the same timing between the top and reverse, margins L1 on the top and reverse surfaces shift in position to right and left form each other. For the purpose, when the top and reverse surfaces are copied, a microswitch MS3 is used to delay the 2nd feeding start period of a feed roller 31 for the original behind the 1st feed start period by (L1-L2) corresponding to the difference between the margin L1 and a blank part L2. Therefore, the copy of the reverse surface is shifted to left from the copy of the top surface by (L1-L2). Consequently, the margins L2 of the top and reverse surfaces are uniformed in one direction and a surface copy which has no problems of the image position is obtained.
