Abstract:
To attain focusing and matching of magnification, even while an original is read continuously.
Focusing and matching of magnification are conducted by reading a chart in the case of no copying (S3). A temperature inside the image reader (especially the lens) is measured (S7) in the case of copying (YES in S5), the focusing and matching of magnification are adjusted on the basis of the measured temperature (S9, S11).
