PURPOSE: To prevent the corrosion of an aerosol can by adding an organopolysiloxane to an aerosol soln. prepd. by dissolving a fluorine-based water and oil repellent in a mixture of a halogenated solvent with a lower alkanol.

CONSTITUTION: The aerosol-type water and oil repellent compsn. comprises a fluorine-based water and oil repellent, a halogenated solvent, a 1-4C alkanol, and an organosiloxane. 2-Propanol is pref. as the alkanol. The water content of the compsn. measured by the Karl-Fischer method is pref. 200ppm or lower.
