Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily prevent clogging of a hopper and sticking in a handling apparatus such as belt conveyor and to increase the filling density in a coke oven, compared to a conventional method by treating coal for coke making with an agent contg. polyether-modified silicone oil.

CONSTITUTION: As the agent for treating coal for coke making, polyether- modified silicone oil is used. As the polyether-modified silicone oil, commercially obtainable product can be utilized and preferably has about 1000-20000mol.wt. The effect of the polyether-modified silicone oil can be furthermore increased by using together with anion surfactant, nonion surfactant, cation surfactant, etc. The treating agent above-mentioned is enough to be added by spraying at any stage from the stage for crushing to stage for charging coal for coke making and the amt. to be used is preferably 50-1000ppm as the component of the agent to the weight of coal and for coke making.
