To provide an air bag device provided with an air bag which can be manufactured by easily reversing an opening part even when it is diametrically decreased.
An air bag 20 is constituted by providing an opening part 21 inserting an inflator main unit and a plurality of mounting holes 23 inserted in an opening part peripheral edge 22, also constituted such that a bolt inserted in each mounting hole 23 is utilized, the opening part peripheral edge 22 is interposed by a retainer and a back holder, to be held therein. Further, the air bag 20, after sewing together a peripheral edge of a car body side base cloth 27 provided with the opening part 21 and an occupant side base cloth 28 provided with a roof part 26 opposed to the opening part 21, utilizing the opening part 21 reversed, is manufactured. In the peripheral edge 22 in the opening part 21 of the air bag 20, a slit 24 is formed.
