PURPOSE: To provide an air bag equipment for the seat next driver's seat where a folded air bag can be easily inserted into a holding member.

CONSTITUTION: A module cover 14 is mounted on the front surface of a main container 12, and a back plate 16 is mounted on the rear surface. An inflator 18, an air bag 20 and a wrapping cloth 22 are provided on the back plate. The wrapping cloth is positioned on the rear side of the back plate so as to surround the back plate first. In this condition, the air bag is folded on the back plate. The wrapping cloth is pulled to the front surface side of the back plate so as to wrap this air bag. Then, a tongue-shaped part 26 is laminated to the front surface of the folded air bag, and the tongue-shaped part 24 is laminated on this tongue-shaped part 26. The wrapped air bag is inserted into a main container together with the back plate, and a flange part 34 of the main container is fixed by a bolt 36.
