Abstract:

To provide an air blowing cleaning device which can perform air blowing cleaning of an electric motor more preferably, and to provide an air blowing cleaning method.SOLUTION: An air blowing cleaning device 100 is used to clean an electric motor 2 for rotating wheels, which is mounted on a railway vehicle, in a travelable state and includes: jack devices 10 which separate wheels 1 of the railway vehicle from rails R in a manner that the railway vehicle is lifted up; a wheel rotation device 20 which rotates the wheel 1 separated from the rail R and transmits rotation of the wheel 1 to the electric motor 2 to rotate a rotor 5 of the electric motor 2; a compressed air supply device 30 having nozzles (31, 32) which supply compressed air to the rotor 5 rotating in the electric motor 2; and a dust collector 40 which has a hood 43 for covering an exhaust slit 3a of the electric motor 2 and suctions air from the exhaust slit 3a through the hood 43 to collect dust in the electric motor 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
