Title:
AIR CLEANER INTEGRAL WITH ENGINE HEAD COVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3821053
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an air cleaner integral with an engine head cover with a simple constitution, to reduce a cost and to enhance an engine performance by ensuring a heat-insulation property and a sealing property.
SOLUTION: A container-like air cleaner case 1 is integrally formed with the head cover of the engine and a cover body 2 is fitted to a retaining part 11 provided at an opening edge of the air cleaner case 1 to form an air layer 6 therebetween. An upper part of the cover body 2 is covered with an air cleaner cap 4 through an element 3. A peripheral edge 31 of the element 3 is clamped by the peripheral edge 41 of the air cleaner cap 4 and the retaining part 11 and is subjected to compression deformation to ensure a sealing property. A step of vibration welding or the like is not required. The heat-insulation property is ensured in a low cost and raising of intake temperature is prevented. Thereby, the engine performance is enhanced.
