Title:
AIR CONDITIONER FOR AIRCRAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001010596
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an air conditioner for aircraft capable of efficiently air- conditioning without any large load on an engine.

The air extracted from an engine fan 1 through a switching regulating valve 2 is compressed by an electric compressor 5, and fed to an evaporator 7 of a vapor cycle cooling system (VCS) through a check valve 4b. The air heat-exchanged and cooled through the evaporation of the refrigerant in the evaporator 7 enters a cabin cockpit 13 through a mixing chamber 12. When the pressure of the engine fan 1 is high, the extracted air enters the evaporator 7 of the VCS from the switching regulating valve 2 through the check valve 4a. When the engine is stopped on the ground, the outside air is sucked by the electric compressor 5 from a shut-off valve 3, compressed and fed to the evaporator 7 through the check valve 4b.
