Title:
AIR CONDITIONER FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003039941
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve refrigerant cooling efficiency in a refrigerant circuit 4 in an air conditioner A for an electric vehicle mounted with a fuel cell stack 1 (a PEFC) to provide sufficient cooling capacity even if outside air temperature is high or even if using CO2 as a refrigerant, and suppress deterioration of fuel consumption caused by drive of a compressor 5.

In this air conditioner A, exhaust from the PEFC 1 is nearly adiabatically expanded by a turbine power generator 11 to reduce temperature of the exhaust, and the low-temperature exhaust is supplied to a condenser 6 of the refrigerant circuit 4 to efficiently cool high-temperature and high- pressure refrigerant gas. A pre-condenser 16 cooling the refrigerant by the outside air can be disposed in a preceding stage of the condenser 6. The compressor 5 of the refrigerant circuit 4 is driven by an electric motor 5a, and a controller 10 controlling a rotational speed of the motor 5a according to a temperature state in a cabin can be provided.
