To provide an air-conditioner for a vehicle capable of comfortably controlling a cooling operation by automatic control when starting cooling (cool down time).
A target blow-off temperature TAO of blow-out air into a cabin is calculated. A first set temperature T1 as a set temperature of the target blow-off temperature and a second set temperature T2 higher than the first set temperature T1 by a prescribed temperature are set. In a low temperature region in which the target blow-off temperature is lower than the second set temperature T2, a bi-level mode is set. When the target blow-off temperature rises up to the first set temperature T1, air quantity of a blower is lowered, and subsequently when the target blow-off temperature rises up to the second set temperature T2, the blowing mode is switched from the bi-level mode to a face mode.
