Title:
AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3197596
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable an air-conditioning apparatus equipped with a built-in dehumidifier for drying washing hung indoors to operate both for ventilation and dehumidification by a method wherein, in the beginning of the operation, the apparatus first operates for discharge of the room air and then for dehumidification.
CONSTITUTION: A dehumidifying apparatus (air-conditioning apparatus) installed at the ceiling of a bathroom has a main body 1 which consists of an upper case 3 and a lower case 2. In this lower case 2 an air inlet 4, an air outlet 5 from a blower on the inner side of the bathroom, and an air outlet 6 from a blower on the outer side of the bathroom are formed. The main body 1 houses a heat exchanger 13 as a cooler and a blower 14 both on the inner side of the bathroom, a heat exchanger 18 as a condenser and a blower 19 both on the outer side of the bathroom, a compressor, etc. When the drying mode is selected, the humidity inside the bathroom is compared with the humidity at the place from which air is supplied to the bathroom; if the humidity inside the bathroom is higher than the other by a specific degree or more, first the ventilation discharging the highly humid air inside the bathroom sucked in through the air inlet 4 by the blower 14 to the outdoors through an air passageway 17 and an air-discharge passageway is executed and then the operation is shifted to the dehumidification.
