Abstract:
To reduce a pressure loss while keeping a pleat interval of a filter material.SOLUTION: An air filter comprises: a filter pack having a pleat-processed filter material and an interval keeping material for keeping a pleat interval of the filter material; and a frame element. The interval keeping material comprises a first projecting part formed on a surface of the filter material along a direction orthogonal to a folding line and formed in a first extension part of the filter material extending on one side across the fold line as a boundary, and a second projecting part formed in a second extension part of the filter material extending on the other side. The length of the first projecting part along the orthogonal direction is shorter than the length of the second projecting part. In the part of the filter material which is valley-folded, a tip of the second projecting part extending toward the valley-folded fold line abuts on the first extension part, and the second projecting part abuts on the first projecting part at a midway position in the extension direction of the second projecting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
