Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio control device for an internal combustion engine, allowing an air-fuel ratio to accurately follow a target air-fuel ratio by properly controlling the air-fuel ratio during accelerating/decelerating a vehicle driven by the internal combustion engine.
SOLUTION: A basic fuel amount TIM is corrected using an acceleration/deceleration correction coefficient KTH, an applicable correction coefficient KSTR and another correction coefficient KTOTAL, whereby a fuel amount TCYL to be supplied to the engine 1 is calculated. The applicable correction coefficient KSTR is calculated by an applicable control unit 31 and the acceleration/deceleration correction coefficient KTH is input to a controller 41 of the applicable control unit 31 and an identifier 42. The identifier 42 calculate a model parameter vector θ using a detected equivalent ratio KACT and the acceleration/deceleration correction coefficient KTH and the controller 41 calculates the applicable correction coefficient KSTR using the identified model parameter vector θ and the acceleration/deceleration correction coefficient KTH.
