PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent to the utmost decline of a dust removal rate in an electrical dust collection part, in an air purification device having an ionization part for generating plus or negative ion, and the electrical dust collection part provided on the downstream of the ionization part.SOLUTION: In an air purification device 1 having an ionization part 25 for charging dust by generating plus or negative ion, and an electrical dust collection part 9 for collecting dust charged by the ionization part 25, the ionization part 25 is constituted so that switching between generation of plus ion and generation of negative ion is performed according to a decline degree of a dust removal rate η in the electrical dust collection part 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
