Abstract:
To provide an inexpensive air separator capable of shortening a starting time.
This air separator comprises a material air compressor 11, an adsorption tower 2, a heat exchanger 14, a rectifying means 2, a waste gas take-out pipe 27 for taking out a waste gas produced in the rectifying means and introducing the same to the heat exchanger, and a discharge pipe 29 for discharging the waste gas led out from the heat exchanger 14 to the external. A pulse tube expander 1 is mounted, and the waste gas in the waste gas take-out pipe 28 is introduced into the pulse tube expander 1 to be insulated from the heat, expanded and cooled, then taken out from the pulse tube expander 1, and returned to the waste gas take-out pipe 27.
