Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a clad ingot which has characteristics required for a clad ingot without needing a complicated production process and apparatus, and to provide a clad material which is obtained by extruding the clad ingot obtained by the clad ingot production method, and has low porosity in boundary between a core material and a skin material.

In the method for producing the clad ingot, since the skin material is brought into contact with the surface of the core material, in a melted state, the joining boundary between the core material and a skin material is made dense compared with the case of the conventional clad material production method. In this way, the phenomenon that the skin material is deformed upon extrusion and is clogged in an extruding machine is improved, and the phenomenon that even if rolling or extrusion is succeeded, porosity remains at the boundary between the core material and the skin material, and, the yield deteriorates by the generation of defective product caused by the reduction in brazability, corrosion resistance and strength required for a clad material for a heat exchanger, is improved.
