Abstract:
To provide an alkaline manganese secondary battery with separators superior in dendrite resistance and improved in cycle life.
An alkaline manganese secondary battery consists of a manganese positive electrode, a zinc negative electrode, a separator provided between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a electrolyte, the separator containing a polyvinyl alcohol crosslinking film formed by oxidation decomposition of a film of 1,2-diol unit which contains a polyvinyl alcohol of saponification rate 70-98.5% and crosslinking of acetal.
