Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an amplitude limiter which transmits a faithful reproduced FM video signal and eliminates easily the reversal phenomenon on reproduced pictures, by providing a high-pass filter, the first and second synthesizers, and the first and second amplitude limiters. CONSTITUTION:A low-pass filter which has a proper pass band with respect to the pass band of a high pass filter 9 is constituted automatically with the first synthesizer 15 and the high pass filter 9. The level reduction part of an FM carrier component of a high band frequency component from the high pass filter 9 is compensated by the first amplitude limiter 12, and the compensated high band frequency component and a delayed low band frequency component from the first synthesizer 15 are synthesized by the second synthesizer 17 to restore the reproduced FM video signal where the carrier component is not dropped. Thus, the faithful reproduced FM video signal is transmitted and the reversal phenomenon on reproduced pictures is eliminated easily.
