Abstract:
To allow for detecting abnormality relating to UI display without increasing the number of I/O ports to notify a user or the like of the occurrence of the abnormality in an electronic apparatus which controls display of an UI by a module independent of a main controller.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus comprises: a controller which has a first processor and controls the entire apparatus; and an UI module which has a second processor and uses an image supplied from the controller to perform display for a user interface. In the electronic apparatus, the controller has a first diagnosis unit which performs diagnosis for abnormality of at least the first processor during start-up of the electronic apparatus, and the UI module has a second diagnosis unit which performs diagnosis for abnormality of display. If abnormality is found by the second diagnosis unit during start-up of the electronic apparatus, the controller is notified of the occurrence of the abnormality through communication between the second processor and the first processor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
