PURPOSE: To prevent rain and snow from sticking to a radome to reduce the degradation of electric characteristics by providing an antenna of millimeter wave and submillimeter wave bands in one end of a cylindrical shielding body.
CONSTITUTION: A Cassegrain antenna consisting of a reflective mirror 1, an auxiliary reflective mirror 2, a primary radiator 3, a shield plate 4, a radome 5, and a pole brace 6 is attached to the other closed end of a round shielding body 7 which has one end cut vertically to the lengthwise direction of the cylinder or obliquely and is left open in the state where the projecting side of this cut end is turned up if it is cut obliquely. Thus, it is difficult that rain and snow stick directly to the radome 5 in case of rainfall and snowfall, and therefore, the degradation of electric characteristics of the whole of the antenna is reduced.
