PURPOSE: To obtain a thin, lightweight feeding device for an array antenna by providing a coupled antenna constituted on a dielectric substrate at the feeding terminal of an element antenna and also coupling strip lines constituted on the dielectric substrate.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of the dielectric substrate 7, numbers of strip lines 8 are printed and on the reverse surface, metal 9 is provided. A dielectric substrate 10 is adhered to the reverse metallic surface 9 of the substrate 7 and on the substrate 10, a feeding circuit for power distribution to lines 8 is printed. On a dielectric substrate 12, a dipoles 11 are printed, the substrate 12 stand upright on the substrate 7, and the dipoles 11 are arranged closely in parallel to the lnes 8. Then, electric power from an input terminal 21 is fed the starting terminals 13 of the lines 8 through strip lines 20 and through hole conductors 15 and then fed to the ending terminals 14. The dipoles 11 couples halfway with the magnetic field of the lines 8 to pick up some of the electric power, which is supplied to the element antenna side through the strip lines 19. Thus, the thin, lightweight feeding device is constituted.
