PURPOSE: To prevent the portable terminal equipment from being non-convenient for carriage, to miniaturize the portable terminal equipment by reducing the space required for an antenna unit and to reduce the cost as well concerning the portable terminal equipment for communication using diversity technique.
CONSTITUTION: A dielectric layer 5 is formed by laminating dielectrics 2, 3 and 4. A main antenna element 7 for transmission/reception is sandwiched between the layers of the dielectrics 2 and 3 of the dielectric layer 5. Besides, an antenna element 9 for diversity reception is sandwiched between the layers of the dielectrics 3 and 4. Thus, a diversity antenna 1 is formed. Concretely, the antenna elements 7 and 9 are formed on the diversity antenna 1 as the conductor layers of a multi-layer printed circuit board.
