To provide an antenna which includes a matching circuit having a capacity of precise capacity value and has high antenna performance, and radio communication equipment provided with the same.
The antenna 101 includes the matching circuit comprising an LC resonance circuit connected between a feeding radiation electrode and a power supply part. An antenna element 31 is disposed at a position away from a ground area GA as far as possible in a non-ground area UA by surface mount. In the non-ground area UA of a substrate 32, power supply end electrode 54, a grounding terminal electrode 55, a pattern capacitor 53, and the like are formed. Near the pattern capacitor 53, a chip capacitor CCf serially connected to the pattern capacitor 53 is mounted. On a lower surface in the non-ground area UA of the substrate 32, a power feeding side inductor electrode 51 is formed, and the matching circuit by an LC parallel resonance circuit is configured by the pattern capacitor 53, the chip capacitor CCf, and the power feeding side inductor electrode 51.
