To provide an antenna system capable of changing the beam width of a radio wave from a radiating element and changing even the directivity of the radio wave with a structure of low cost.
The antenna system 1 is a two-element H-plane array antenna and is provided with a dielectric substrate 2, two radiating elements 3-1 and 3-2, ground electrodes 4-1 and 4-2, metal block bodies with a rectangular cross section 5-1 and 5-2 and a ground electrode 4-3. The ground electrodes 4-1 and 4-2 are disposed at both sides of the radiating elements 3-1 and 3-2. The metal block bodies 5-1 and 5-2 are connected to the ground electrodes 4-1 and 4-2 so that the radiating elements 3-1 and 3-2 may be sandwiched from its E surface. The ground electrode 4-3 is provided on a rear surface 2b of the dielectric substrate 2 and connected to the ground electrodes 4-1 and 4-2 through a through hole 40. The directivity of radio waves can be changed by making the heights of the metal block bodies 5-1 and 5-2 different.
