To maintain a speech state optimal to a portable radio equipment in an antenna system.
This antenna system 10 is formed of a bar antenna 11 constituted of a conductor having length which is integral times as long as almost 1/2 wavelength of the wavelength of a signal transmitted or received by a portable radio equipment, housing member 12 covering the surrounding of the bar antenna, and cylindrical interfitting member 13 provided at one end of the housing member. Thus, this interfitting member 13 is interfit into a spiral antenna, and the antenna device is attached to the portable radio equipment so that the bar antenna and the spiral antenna can be operated as one antenna, the top end of the antenna of the portable radio equipment can be positioned so as to be separated from the head of a user, and an antenna gain can be prevented from being deteriorated. As a result, a speech state optimal to the radio equipment can be maintained.
