PURPOSE: To prevent a corrosion of a heat exchanger unit for a heavy oil ash incinerator and for processing gas containing SO3 by a method wherein a part of the heat absroption fluid heated is mixed with heat absorption fluid at the inlet port and thereby a heat transmitting pipe wall is kept higher than an acid due point.
CONSTITUTION: Waste gas is flowed from a waster gas duct 1 into a heat exchanger unit 2, cooled by a heat transmitting pipe 4 and then flowed to the waste gas duct 6. On the other hand, the air is flowed from a cold air duct 9 into barrels 10, 12 and finally discharged to the hot air duct 13. A part of the heated air is branched from the hot air duct 13 and fed to the suction port 7 of the fan 8 through a hot air feediing pipe 16. This volume of feeding is adjusted by a temperature sensing device 14 mounted on a heat transmitting pipe 4 through a control valve 15. In this way, it is possible to make a temperature of the heat transmitting wall section A higher than that of an acid dew point of waste gas.
