PURPOSE: To prevent the reaction to a brake pedal by arranging an auxiliary pressure line having a high-pressure accumulator and a pressure limiting valve in parallel to a main pressure line, and arranging check valves in the prescribed directions on a return line and the main pressure line respectively in an anti- lock-controlled hydraulic brake system for an automobile.

CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary pressure line 1 is connected in parallel to a main pressure line 5, a high-pressure accumulator 3 and a pressure limiting valve 2 are provided on it, and is connected to the main pressure line 5 through a branch line 7. The pressure limiting valve 2 side end of the auxiliary pressure line 1 is connected to the main pressure line 5, and the side end section of a pump 6 is connected to a pump intake line 13 between an outlet valve 14 and a log-pressure accumulator 15. A check valve 12 closed in the direction of a wheel brake 9 is provided on a return line 11 branched from a part between the wheel brake 9 and an inlet valve 10. A check valve 8 closed in the direction of a master cylinder 4 is provided between the branch line 7 junction of the main pressure line 5 and the master cylinder 4.
