Abstract:
To provide an anti-theft method and device of a vehicle having a certain anti-theft effect without complicating the structure.
The anti-theft method of the vehicle has an immobilizer for transmitting an ignition prohibition releasing signal from the controller to an ignition controlling device of an engine when the ID code of a transponder built in a key matches with the ID code previously registered in a controller on the vehicle body side. Until a lapse of a predetermined time or the like since the connection of the immobilizer to a backup power supply for the immobilizer, the ignition controlling device is kept in the ignition prohibition state.
