PURPOSE: To use the 3-arylcarbonyl-1-aminoalkyl-1H-indole compd. which has a cannabinoid action effect and is partly novel or the acid addition salt thereof as a compsn. for treatment of the glaucoma.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. for treatment of the glaucoma consists of the compd. of formula I [R2 is H, alkyl, etc.; R3 is phenyl, methylene dioxyphenyl, benzyl, styryl, 1H-imidazol-1-yl; R4 is H, alkyl hydroxy, etc.; Z is O, S; Alk is (CH2)n ((n) is 2,3); N-13 is N,N-di-lower alkylamino, etc., 4-morphorinyl, etc.] or the acid addition salt thereof. Particularly the compd. of formula II of the compd. of the formula I or the acid addition salt thereof is the novel compd. and is, for example 3-benzylcarbonyl-2-methyl-1-[2-(4-morphorinyl)ethyl]-1H- indole.
