PURPOSE: A molded article, consisting of a polyester containing zeolite based solid particles holding metallic ions having germicidal activity and a hydrophilic substance and capable of sustaining performance thereof for a long period without variation in antimicrobial performance in molding.
CONSTITUTION: A molded article consisting of a polyester containing zeolite based solid particles holding metallic ions having germicidal action and a hydrophilic substance. Metallic ions to be used are selected from silver, copper and zinc. A polyester consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate and/or polybutylene terephthalate is used as the polyester. A polyether containing ≥40mol% ethylene oxide units is used as the hydrophilic substance, which is present in a state contained in the polyester or adhered to the surface.
