To provide an antireflective film in which a hard coat layer has a sufficiently large antistatic performance, a composition for forming the hard coat layer is excellent in coating property, and the adhesion between a transparent film base material and the thick-film hard coat layer and the adhesion between the hard coat layer and a low refractive index layer provided on the hard coat layer are very excellent, and which is excellent in durability against environmental changes, in particular, scratch resistance, in relation to a thin antireflective film used in a liquid crystal display device (LVD) or the like; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same, a polarizing plate using the antireflective film, and a display device.
A method for manufacturing the antireflective film comprises laminating a hard coat layer having a film thickness of 8-30 m and containing electroconductive fine particles formed of phosphorus-doped tin oxide and a low refractive index layer having a film thickness of 70-120 nm and containing a cationically polymerizable binder, on the surface of a transparent film base material having a film thickness of 12-80 m. In a coating composition for forming the hard coat layer, a leveling agent is added in an amount of 0.2-2.0 mass%.
