The spinning machine comprises apparatus for collecting drawn but twistless fiber strands. The apparatus is installed downstream of drawing apparatus. The apparatus includes an air-permeable conveying belt which conveys fiber strands through a collecting zone. The conveyer belt is guided on a sliding surface of a suction channel. The suction slit is installed in the sliding surface as to extend substantially in the direction of the fiber strands. The collecting zone terminates at the pair of nip rollers which acts as twisting inhibitor. The driving force of a delivery roller of a pair of nip rollers is transmitted from a lower driving roller of a pair of front rollers of the drawing apparatus. The drive delivery roller is designed as a deflecting roller and a conveying belt is hooked around the roller and the roller deflects the conveying belt substantially in 180° angle and a tension apparatus is mounted on the downstream of the delivery roller.
