Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture coreless rolls quickly and efficiently by providing an anvil blade cutting the web of paper on a trajectory cooperated with a knife blade, when rotation of a cutter roll lets the knife blade to move while passing the anvil blade.
CONSTITUTION: A support 74 is rotatably fitted to the frame of this apparatus so as to rotate around a pivot point 76 front and rear. A curved anvil blade 78 is fitted to the support 74. By extending/contracting an air cylinder mounted on the frame of this apparatus in the pin 82, the support 74 and the blade 78 are rotated around the pivot point 76. An anvil support 84 includes the stop member 84 engageable with a stop member 86 fixed to the frame of this apparatus. On this position, the anvil blade 78 extends to the lower side of a web 40 a knife 68 is moved while passing through the blade 78 by rotating a cutter roll 66, and moving paper material web 40 is vertically sheared extending over the width.
