To provide a method to create the usage right for content prior to creation of the content.

The usage right for a digital work is established prior to creation of the corresponding content. The right can be associated with the content after the content is created. A content creation device, such as a video recorder or a still camera, can store labels of the right and can associate the usage right with content in real time as the content is created.
