PURPOSE: To keep stirring operation which affects electronic part chips in the adequate state all the time and to perform a mounting step at high reliability by providing a mechanism for adjusting the pressure of compressed air which is introduced into a blowing path.

CONSTITUTION: Compressed air which is introduced into a blowing path 11 largely affects the receiving of electronic part chips 4 into an aligning path 9 and the smoothness of the flow in the path. Meanwhile, even if the compressed air having a constant pressure is introduced, they are affected by the kind of a cassette 1 which is arranged so as to close an opening 3 of a hopper 2. A rotary valve 17 is provided in the path 11. With the behavior of the chips 4 in the hopper 2 being observed, the valve is operated from the outside. The pressure of the compressed air at the output of the paths is adjusted. The chip stirring operation is always kept adequate. In this constitution of the aligning apparatus, the mounting step can be performed at high operating rate and high reliability. It is also effective when a needle valve and a swing valve other than the rotary valve are used.
