To provide both an apparatus for forming a glass tube capable of independently driving respective movable parts and an apparatus for forming the glass tube capable of selecting any of automatic operations and manual operations of an operator and driving the movable parts.
This apparatus for forming a glass tube is obtained by using movable heads 2 as both left and right heads, providing feeding mechanisms 14 so as to simultaneously or individually move both the heads 2, automatically feeding the feed mechanisms 14 with motors 12, driving main shafts 6 in both the let and right heads 2 with each separate motor 7, enabling the automatic feed of a feed mechanism 21 for a burner supporting pedestal 1 with a motor 20, further additionally installing handles 15 and 23 in the feed mechanisms 14 and 20 and enabling the selective adoption of manual feed in addition to the automatic feed with the motors 12 and 22.
